History

GIVA is an acronym for Gruppo Industriale Vienna Antonio. It is an Italian family owned group, founded by the charismatic Italian entrepreneur Mr Antonio Vienna, who is the President and the majority shareholder.

GIVA Group is a worldwide leader in the production of ingots, forgings, valves and actuators.

GIVA Group consists of 1200 employees from 20 different countries, 15 modern and highly specialized manufacturing plants located in northern Italy with more than 1500 customers from the 5 continents.

RMT was established by Giva as a company producing valves in Solbiate Olona (Varese)
A new company named DVG was established within the Group to support the valves market by producing valves actuators
Forgia Di Bollate (FDB) was founded by Vienna brothers in Bollate (Milan)
In the eighties OFAR, founded in 1961, joined Mr. Vienna industrial network as the third forge of the group
VRM was founded as a machining workshop
Ofar (a forge that will join the group only in the ’80) was founded in Visano (Brescia)
VRM was acquired by Giva for rough machining activities
Forgia Di Bollate (FDB) needed wider spaces for its activity and moved a part of the plant from Bollate to Rho (Milan)
OFAR and Forges merged into one single company (OFAR) based on three production sites (Visano, Canneto s/O and Cividale Del Friuli)
Forges, located in Cividale Del Friuli (Udine), joined GIVA as the fourth forge plant of the Group
RMT and Valvomeccanica merged in RMT-Valvomeccanica
In order to support the production of finish machined shells and rings, TTV was established as a large capacity company in a strategic position on the way to Marghera Port
OFP, founded in 1986, joined the Giva Group to support the forges with rough and final machining
Valvomeccanica, active in the valves trading since 1946, also joined Mr. Vienna industrial network
OFP was founded as a machining workshop
Giva acquired the Italfond plant, a steel mill founded in 1962 in Bagnolo Mella (Brescia)
Metab, a new site for the machining of long products, was opened next to Ofar to serve the company with final machining
Within the Group, Bresciacciai started its activity in Visano (Brescia) in the steel plates market
GIVA is undergoing to an important and historical refurbishment, which sees the forging plants progressively include the machining workshops: TTV and OFP became part of Forgiatura A. Vienna
Forgia Di Bollate (FDB) started a green field plant in Canneto Sull’Oglio (Mantova) and, at the same site; OFAR built its special equipment second division dedicated to heavy forgings for power gen
Mr. Antonio Vienna set the first workshop of Forgiatura A.Vienna in Rho (Milan)
The Industrial Group was officially established as GIVA, staying for Gruppo Industriale Vienna Antonio by the name of its President
